Most of us have tried from one time or another to find their perfect match online.  Some people have more luck then others securing a date once the initial contact’s been made but there are some tips that will help ensure the girl you’ve had your eye on online will choose you.

If you incorporate these foolproof techniques in your online chats you will be virtually guaranteed to have the girl of your dreams on a first date in no time:

1. Don’t pretend to be something that you’re not: In the online environment women easily catch on to men who like to exaggerate or who tell little white lies to get the girl to like them.  Online women have learned that if a guy sounds too good to be true he usually is.

2. Everyone knows someone that knows you: Just because you have met this girl online doesn’t mean she hasn’t done her homework.  As a matter of fact women that meet men online are very prone to do some sleuthing on your background before she will agree on a date.

3. Listen to her and take note: One of the easiest ways to ensure you secure an online date is to listen to what she has to say and take note.  If you are chatting with a few girls then ensure you don’t mix them up.  As soon as a girl gets the sense that you are trying to make dates with a half dozen girls she will lose interest fast.

4. Be unique when asking her out: If you ask a girl out for coffee, I assure you she’s had a dozen of those offers she’s already turned down.  If she likes stand-up comedy for instance and you know a comedy show is coming up then that is a perfect opportunity for you to set a date.

5. Play it cool: Making statements like “I think we were meant to be” or “I feel a real connection with you” when you hadn’t met the person face to face isn’t romantic, it’s creepy.  The same applies with coming on too strong or being too anxious online, it screams online stalker.  You will be blocked faster than you can say online dating.

6. No references to old girlfriends: The internet is filled with men that have just recently gotten out of a relationship.  Many of them still on the rebound or still bitter.  Too many references to an ex will have you on the “do not date” list in a snap.

You don’t need to sit and wonder about how to get a girl to like you, what’s vital is that you simply be yourself and don’t overthink it.  The same applies to the question of how to get a girlfriend?  A girl likes men that are sincere and secure in themselves.  While you may not think it can be seen online as easy as in person, in many cases insecurity is more noticeable online then in person.
